After birth, Umimat was admitted to intensive care, placed on a ventilator, and diagnosed with severe central nervous system damage, epilepsy, constant seizures, and severe developmental delays.
Today, Umimat cannot hold her head up, sit, walk, or talk. Her mother is by her side every day, doing everything she can to make her daughter's life easier and provide her with the care she needs.
Due to severe motor impairments, Umimat vitally needs a specialized wheelchair for children with disabilities, the "Dambo."
This is more than just a means of transportation. For Umimat, it provides:
— a safe body position
— head and back support
— reduced strain on muscles and joints
— the ability to comfortably spend time outside the home
— easier daily care.
The family has asked for help purchasing a wheelchair, which they cannot afford on their own.
Every donation you make is an opportunity to make Umimat's life a little easier, safer, and more comfortable!
