Adam is 8 years old. He has a delayed psychomotor development and behavioral issues. He was born weak and underweight, but developed well during his first year of life. A severe bout of pneumonia at around one year of age was a turning point. After being discharged from the hospital, his parents noticed alarming changes: Adam stopped picking up bread, although he had previously tried to eat independently, and he responded less frequently to his name. By the age of two, he no longer chewed or bit into food. Since he was two, his family has been continuously involved in his rehabilitation. Thanks to persistent work and ABA therapy, neurodevelopmental therapy, and therapy for speech impairment, Adam has made significant progress: he has learned to chew food, pronounce short phrases, read, and memorize poetry.
To consolidate these important skills and learn new things, Adam needs another rehabilitation course. Unfortunately, the family's difficult financial situation prevents his parents from paying for it themselves.
