For several years, the charity Foundation "He needs you" has been helping special children left without parental care and living in the most inaccessible corners of Russia to receive the necessary medical care. The Foundation guides the child from the initial admission to the most complex surgical procedures in the best medical centers of St. Petersburg.
Any such trip involves long and difficult stages: passing diagnoses, waiting for medical reports, and preparing for operations. Often, in between treatment activities, children are forced to stay in the city for several days or even weeks so that specialists can monitor their condition and prevent a break in therapy.
It is for these cases that the foundation rents an apartment in St. Petersburg, a temporary shelter for our wards. There, the guys have the opportunity to take a break after the hospital, gain energy, eat normally and get a good night's sleep. This is a corner devoid of a hospital setting, where the most important thing is attention, peace and a sense of security.
