Friends, every day new cats arrive at the "Devoted Heart" shelter. From the streets, from basements, from kind people. We never know what a newcomer might be carrying — they may look healthy, but a dangerous virus could already be living inside them.
To protect the other 500 cats and start treatment on time, we must test every cat upon arrival.
We need rapid tests for four major threats:
— Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) — destroys immunity, leaving the cat defenseless against any infection;
— Feline Leukemia (FeLV) — causes anemia, blood cancer, and immune deficiency;
— Panleukopenia — a deadly disease that can kill a cat within days;
— Calicivirus — a dangerous infection causing mouth ulcers, lameness, and pneumonia.
One test — and within 10 minutes we have a diagnosis. This allows us to immediately isolate the sick animal, start treatment, and prevent an outbreak in the shelter.
Tests are used up quickly — every new arrival, every cat with suspicious symptoms needs to be checked.
We are raising funds for rapid tests for the shelter cats.
Please help us detect dangerous viruses in time. Fast diagnostics saves lives and keeps the entire shelter safe.
