4-year-old Tukhtagulkhon is fighting for her sight – she urgently needs surgery.

Tukhtagulkhon is only four years old. She was born at 28 weeks, weighing 1,220 grams, and spent a long time in the maternity hospital. At birth, she was diagnosed with stage 3 respiratory distress syndrome, congenital pneumonia, and neonatal jaundice. Tukhtagulkhon currently has a total retinal detachment (in both eyes), stage 5 retinopathy of prematurity in the cicatricial stage, and other ophthalmological problems. Thanks to previous treatment at a clinic in St. Petersburg (the Regional State Budgetary Healthcare Institution), she was able to avoid complete blindness, but to consolidate the results, she urgently needs another surgery and hospitalization. Tukhtagulkhon is a resilient girl: despite pain and trials, she continues to smile. Her dream is to clearly see her parents' faces and play with her peers. Her father works as a loader, and her mother is a housewife. The family had already lost two firstborn children, and Tukhtagulkhon's birth was a miracle for them. They are doing everything they can, but they can't afford the treatment. Help Tukhtagulkhon preserve her sight and give her a chance at a happy childhood!
