6-year-old Salim is fighting for his sight, he needs urgent surgery!

Salim is only six years old. He was born at 27 weeks, and from the very beginning, life presented him with difficult challenges. The boy has already undergone three surgeries in St. Petersburg—doctors fought to save his vision due to a total retinal detachment and severe hemorrhage. Salim has a complex diagnosis: grade 4 sensorineural hearing loss and left-sided hemiparesis (cerebral palsy). But despite these difficulties, he remains persistent and cheerful—a true little champion. Now the situation is critical: without another surgery, the child could remain blind. His parents are doing everything they can. His father works as a loader, and his mother is a housewife. They are raising three other sons. His brothers love Salim very much, looking after him, pushing him on swings, and going for walks together.
