Kostya needs a special helmet-orthosis to correct the shape of his head

The second child of the twins, Kostya, was born prematurely and with an "irregular" head shape. In Kostya's case, it can be fixed not by surgery, but by wearing a special helmet. Brachycephaly is when a child's head does not grow back and forth, but becomes wide and flat from behind, as if it were flattened. This deformity is already stable in the bone, but the bones of the skull are still soft and malleable at 6 months of age. Right now, the baby is wearing a special orthosis helmet almost around the clock to gently direct the growth of the head in the right direction. But in order for the shape to become symmetrical completely, the boy also needs a second helmet. Kostya is growing fast, like all babies, so another helmet will be made to individual measurements after a skull scan. The helmet will take into account all the nuances of a grown baby's head. Orthosis production is not provided on a free basis. Kostya's sister Nastya, with whom the boy has a 7-minute difference, was born with a severe intestinal lesion, and parents need too much effort and money to cope with the treatment of both children.
