In utero, Matvey developed along with his twin brother. But at 27 weeks gestation one of the babies died, so doctors decided on an emergency caesarean section.
So Matvey was born completely immature. His condition was extremely bad. The boy was in intensive care unit for 2.5 months, but in total Matvey spent 5 months in hospital after his birth. During this time he underwent five surgeries. One of them was a heart operation, the others were to solve the problem of growing hydrocephalus after a cerebral haemorrhage.
After discharge Matvey was at home for only 2 months, and then began a long battle with epilepsy. It took 5 months to stop the seizures. Since then Matvey has been taking 3 epilepsy medicines daily.
Thanks to many doctors, Matvey's life is now out of danger. But the boy needs continuous rehabilitation courses. Matthew's family is low-income, they cannot cope with the cost of treatment. We are asking for your help in covering the cost of Matvey's rehabilitation course in Krasnodar. The practice of previous courses in the centre shows consistent positive dynamics of Matvey's development.
Thank you very much for any assistance!
