Viktoria was born prematurely at 29 weeks due to severe maternal preeclampsia. Doctors in the ICU fought for her life for a long time: Vika underwent blood transfusions, suffered from seizures, and battled pneumonia. The result of this grueling struggle was a large cyst in the left hemisphere of her brain and a subsequent diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. The prognosis was bleak, with doctors predicting she would never sit, walk, or understand speech.
However, her parents refused to give up. Since she was five months old, Vika has regularly undergone high-quality rehabilitation: Vojta and Bobath therapies, physical therapy, massages, and ongoing sessions with speech therapists and defectologists.
Today, Viktoria is a charming 5-year-old girl. She loves music, amazes her educators with her progress, and can already move around the apartment with minimal support. To walk completely on her own, Vika just needs a little more help to strengthen her muscles. The family's financial resources are currently exhausted, and interrupting her regular rehabilitation is not an option, as it is critical for her future. The support of kind-hearted people and the Foundation will give Vika a chance for a healthy childhood. Let's help the girl together!
