Kolya is five years old. This smiling little boy loves to play on the playground, with cars and construction sets. He's saying his first words and recognizing colors and shapes. Behind all this lies years of struggle, surgeries, and the daily work of those who were there—doctors and the foundation.
Kolya was born with a genetic disorder that prevented him from digesting food. His family couldn't afford to care for him, and Kolya ended up in an institution. There, staff from the Road of Life foundation met him and transported him to Moscow for treatment.
"Just recently, he couldn't walk, eat, or even play on his own," says Kolya's nanny. "But I knew he'd get there with time. He has such a happy look in his eyes when he masters a new challenge—it's impossible not to rejoice with him!"
To consolidate his success, he needs regular physical therapy sessions with a physical therapist—without exercise, the skills he's worked so hard to acquire can be lost.
Besides Kolya, the Foundation's Social Center is home to 10 other children with severe illnesses. We've organized individual physical therapy sessions for all the children. A specialist helps them strengthen their muscles, develop balance, and teach them proper movement.
Help Kolya keep moving! Let every new step he takes be a shared victory.
Пусть Аллах осчастливит тебя маленький человечек 🤲🏻💔💋
