Nina Vasilievna has received the controlles for measuring blood sugar level!

Nina has the first type diabetes. She was diagnosed when she was 39 and immediately prescribed insulin. She has to take injections at least four times a day. It is vital to keep blood glucose within the normal range. High level is threatened by complications, Nina has already a disability of the first group for vision. Low sugar threatens by coma, it has happened more than once. Because of her long illness Nina does not feel any changes in her body when her blood sugar level rises or falls. In order to check the sugar level, she has to prick her fingers constantly to adjust the insulin dose in time, or, conversely, to eat for not falling into coma. It means more than ten measurements a day, ten shots, apart from insulin shots. Because of endless injections all the fingers are in bruises, it's hard to endure the pain, and it is difficult for a woman to measure the blood glucose. Nina writes: "Every time I measure, I shudder with pain and fear that I will have to inject several times again. Because of this, I have repeatedly missed measurements, after which I fell into coma, and was hardly saved. Right now, I am in a wheelchair. Last year, because of not measuring my sugar in time, I got sick, fell and broke my pelvis in two places. After a long treatment, my bones healed, but I got an ulcer on my heel. For three months I was not allowed to get out of a bed. Now the ulcer is healing very slowly, because in order to heal well, I need to keep the sugar level within certain limits. The endocrinologist recommended Nina to use continuous blood sugar monitoring. This is a special sensor which can measure sugar unlimited number of times a day and monitor its level with an app on a phone without injuring fingers. This sensor is placed in the hand for 14 days. Nina writes: "I tried to buy a couple of pieces-it's just unbelievable happiness! My fingers rested a little, and the most important is that I always saw my sugars. Then I even felt much better, my ulcer started slowly to heal". Unfortunately, the sensors are very expensive, Nina cannot afford to buy enough of them. Nina's family consists of her daughter and two grandchildren, one of the babies has the first disablement group with cerebral palsy.
