Aisha is 7 years old. Until she was 1.5 years old, Aisha developed well and showed no developmental delays: she made eye contact, responded to her name, and spoke a few words. Then, within two months, major changes occurred: she stopped responding to her name and stopped playing with toys.
After this, Aisha's parents consulted doctors. At age 2, they were diagnosed with delayed speech and language development (PSRD) and began treatment. They began sessions with a neuropsychologist, and by the 7th or 8th day, the parents noticed improvements: words and sounds appeared, and comprehension improved. Sessions with a neuropsychologist, speech therapist, special education teacher, and sensory integrator produced very good results.
Now, since she was three, Aisha has been attending sessions regularly, and the results are very good. Aisha has developed many words and phrases thanks to the rehabilitation she underwent.
To maintain progress, it is necessary to undergo rehabilitation sessions regularly to avoid developmental setbacks.
Unfortunately, Aysha's parents are unable to continue this course.
