The children in our care who have severe disabilities require diapers throughout their lives. While hygiene supplies are provided for children with disabilities, the quantity is limited. Furthermore, the diapers supplied do not always fully meet the children's individual needs, which can lead to skin irritation. Parents caring for these children almost always have to purchase additional diapers themselves—a major monthly expense. Often, these children are raised in single-parent families, so there is a constant shortage of funds for even the most basic necessities.
