Seven-year-old Alifa is struggling with the effects of a malignant brain tumor. Three brain surgeries, chemo and radiation therapy saved his life, but led to complications. Alifa had to relearn how to walk and talk. Strabismus appeared, memory and other cognitive functions suffered. Now Alifa is lagging behind her peers: it is difficult to memorize letters, keep her balance, and coordination of movements is impaired. Regular rehabilitation is the only way to restore skills.
