Andrew was born a healthy baby, developing according to his age. At 10 months of age he contracted angina, then bilateral pneumonia with a critically high fever. The treatment lasted more than three months and, thanks to the professionalism of the doctors, the danger to life was averted.
But the high fever, the large number of antibiotics and the extensive lung damage rolled back the child's development.
The boy could no longer stand on his feet, could not hold his head properly, and lost interest in communication. And by the age of two, Andrei began so-called freezing - for a few seconds the baby stopped reacting to any stimuli, did not move or blink.
These were manifestations of epilepsy. Since the age of 3 Andrei has been on anticonvulsants. Now he's 12 years old and there's no improvement
EEG, unfortunately, no improvement. Development is also at a standstill, Andrew does not understand speech, speaks very little, poorly serves himself.
At the moment Andrew is suffering from severe headaches,
he gets tired quickly and he is lying down more and more. The boy often asks his mother to pat his head, hoping for relief. Andryusha also often refuses to eat, as he is constantly nauseated.
There is another invalid in Andrej's family and it is quite difficult to survive, and examining and treating him is even more difficult.
