Amanat is awaiting heart surgery

Since birth, Amanat has had a complex heart defect. In the first weeks of his life, he underwent his first surgery, and later — a radical correction. Inside his heart, doctors created a pathway for blood to flow into the aorta. Over time, a significant narrowing developed in this area. Blood has difficulty passing into the aorta, so the heart works under increased strain. Doctors at Filatovskaya Hospital have scheduled a repeat heart surgery. The surgeons need to remove the obstruction to blood flow under conditions of artificial circulation. The operation is urgently needed. Without it, the strain on the heart remains, and the risk of his condition worsening increases. Amanat is almost four years old. And his heart disease is not the only health and developmental issue he faces. The boy cannot hear in one ear, cannot see in one eye, and finds it difficult to walk, run, and keep his balance. Amanat needs more time to develop speech and learn new skills, but he tries very hard to be independent: he washes himself, brushes his teeth, eats, draws, and explains to his loved ones in his own special way what he needs.
