Do you know how much it costs to spay a cat?
It was a puzzling question, and the answer is not that important, because the amounts vary from region to region. What is important is that neutering is the only humane way to control the number of homeless animals. Unfortunately, there is no other way.
Most of all, the fate of cats on the street without food, shelter and owners, are interested in pensioners. Grandmothers, who can't even afford high-quality food, but they have kind hearts. They can't watch the death of animals, they can't calmly watch the cats breed offspring without end, which then no one will need. But pensioners do not have money for sterilization and they turn to us for help.
During October we received more than 50 requests from volunteers. We are collecting 80,000 rubles for the sterilization of 50 cats.
The operations will be carried out in the Yaroslavl region.
One procedure costs 2,800 rubles. According to our project the neutering of domestic cats costs 1,400 rubles (that is 50% discount), for the homeless it is free of charge.
Only by joint efforts we can reduce the number of stray animals on the streets. Grandmothers will calmly feed the cats and will not worry about what to do if kittens appear again.
