Three years ago, Mukhammadrasul's mother first approached us to the foundation about her three-year-old son, who was about to undergo a very serious liver transplantation surgery.
It all started when the boy suddenly had severe pains in his tummy and started vomiting. After a series of examinations, the parents were told that their child had a neoplasm in his liver. But they could not diagnose and prescribe effective treatment in Tajikistan due to a lack of specialized specialists. Mother and son urgently flew to Moscow. With the help of concerned people, funds were raised to pay for the examination at the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital, and the transportation and accommodation expenses were paid by the parents themselves. The boy finally received an accurate, but disappointing diagnosis: hepatoblastoma - a malignant tumor of the liver - at the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital. Transplantation of the affected organ is indicated for this disease. Fortunately, Muhammadrasul's uncle was a suitable donor. The kid had to undergo several sessions of chemotherapy in order to have a lifesaving surgery. In October 2018, he underwent a successful related liver transplant. Now the boy is feeling satisfactory, he is very active and mobile. But he still needs regular close medical supervision by transplant doctors. To avoid organ rejection and other complications, Muhammad had to come regularly to Moscow for checkup examinations to evaluate the functioning of his transplant and to adjust the medicament therapy. All examinations, tests, and other medical services for the boy can only be done for a fee, because the family does not have Russian citizenship and they are not eligible for quotas. It is very difficult to save money for frequent trips. To help the family with the cost of the examinations, our foundation "Life as a Miracle" included the child in the "Hospital Aid" program, but the parents cannot afford to pay the flight from Khujand either. The Abdullaev family has three sons with many children. Dad works in gas production, and mom takes care of the house, the household and, of course, the children. That is why the parents have to periodically ask for help from concerned people.
Let's help Mukhammadrasul's family raise funds to pay for tickets to Moscow, so the boy can be examined in time!
