Amilya grows up to the joy of her father and mother in an atmosphere of great and universal love. But when the baby was born, everyone was shocked: the girl had a hernia on her back. It's spina bifida - a congenital malformation of the spinal cord that develops in utero. Its causes are unknown. On the fifth day the doctors performed an operation and removed the hernia, then a shunt had to be inserted into the girl's head to prevent fluid accumulation in the head and hydrocephalus growth. When she was one year old, she had one more surgery to remove the fixation of the spinal cord.
Now Amilya can crawl on all fours, sits confidently, and little by little begins to talk. Smiling, kind, inquisitive little girl, she is so eager to learn the world around her. Amila is 1,5 years old, it is time for her, as for all children, to stand on her feet. But she cannot stand up by herself - because of the consequences of spina bifida she cannot feel her legs. She needs a special rehabilitation device - a standing aid. In an upright position the girl's spine and hip joints will be correctly distributed, all internal organs - heart, lungs, digestive system, blood circulation - will start to function properly. It also frees up your hands to play.
