Friends, 10 years ago one small shelter near Zelenograd started the history of the "NIKA" Foundation for Stray Animals. Today the Foundation is responsible for more than 800 animals that live in the NIKA shelter and the Wet Nose multifunctional center. The "Wet Nose" center began to be built in 2015 as a place not only to keep and treat animals in a difficult situation, but also for leisure and education.
As of today, the Center is already operational, with a veterinary clinic, several enclosures for dogs and cats, and a cat house under construction. There are about 500 animals in the Center now. We are looking forward to the long and cold winter months ahead and we need your help to ensure that our animals will feel comfortable during them. In order to maintain a constant optimum temperature in the enclosures, which are heated with electricity, we need to buy and use two heat guns. Since the enclosures are quite large and the available power is not enough to heat them, especially in very cold weather at night when the temperature usually drops even lower than during the day. Help our animals survive the long winter and stay warm in their enclosures!
