Umm-Kulsum has completed an intensive course of classes in Astrakhan!

Little Umm-Kulsum is 3.5 years old. The main diagnosis is delayed psycho-speech development and autism spectrum disorder. The Umm-Kulsum does not understand the addressed speech, does not look into the eyes, tantrums and bouts of aggression often occur. The girl has not formed self-service skills, including the skill of self-eating. Umm-Kulsum successfully completed an intensive rehabilitation course, during which an individual development program was developed for her, aimed at improving the girl's academic skills and correcting undesirable behavior. She was also introduced an alternative communication system "PECS", thanks to which she can express her desires and needs. The girl began to cooperate better, undesirable behavior in the form of tantrums decreased. In addition, work was carried out on motor simulation, visual skills. Umm-Kulsum learned to follow simple instructions with and without objects on her own, learned to sort objects, distinguish basic colors. Work has begun on the formation of self-service skills, the ability to drink from a cup and hold a spoon independently. Also, the girl's understanding of speech improved, she learned to sit quietly in class, perform tasks of a behavioral analyst. With an instructor in adaptive physical culture and a specialist in sensory integration, Umm-Kulsum worked to improve sensory-motor skills. The girl learned to keep her balance, throw and catch a ball, jump, ride a scooter and a gyro scooter.
