Karina Rakhmankulova was born on time, but, unfortunately, with a loop of cord. The girl spent a month in intensive care on a lung ventilator. Even then doctors suggested that the baby might have cerebral palsy. And during the first year of life this disease was confirmed. Karina’s family began to treat the girl immediately.
During her life Karina underwent more than 30 rehabilitation courses in medical centers in different cities. She underwent ozone therapy, acupuncture, botulinum toxin injections, manual therapy. The girl studied with a speech therapist and took courses of therapeutic exercise and massage. In 2012 Karina had an operation, using the Ulzibat method. Many procedures for the girl are unpleasant and some are even painful, but she endures everything for the sake of being able to get on her feet.
These efforts are successful: at the age of 15 Karina sits, crawls on her buttocks, walks with support, stands with support and even writes herself. And in 2019 the girl learned to eat on her own. In order not to lose her skills, Karina needs a SWASH device for her legs and body. This device will allow to avoid hip dislocation and will also give an opportunity to develop new, correct motor skills to independently sit, stand, walk, bend over, dress, eat, etc.
