Yesenia was born prematurely weighing 690 grams and measuring 31 centimeters tall. Like many premature infants, she was diagnosed with retinopathy, an insidious eye disease that can quickly deprive a child of vision. Doctors also diagnosed Yesenia with cerebral palsy (right-sided hemiparesis).
Parents do not give up and stubbornly work with their daughter on rehabilitation, therapy for speech therapy and physical therapy. Recently the girl's parents had a chance to visit the famous ophthalmologist Dmitry Vladimirovich Miguel, who determined the causes of the decrease in vision. The girl needed an eye surgery (chemodenervation) in 3 stages, because the angle of strabismus increased, the brain turns off the strongly squinting eye and the vision decreases.
Thanks to the tubers Esenia was successfully operated on 21.12.2021 in Voyno-Yasenetsky Scientific and Practical Centre in Moscow.
The girl's parents would like to thank all the participants of the fundraising from the bottom of their hearts!
