Timur was born with a congenital pathology - a latent joint in his leg. The boy was waiting for amputation, if not for the help of thousands of indifferent people: American doctors saved Timur's leg and continue treatment so that Timur could walk freely. In February, you helped to pay for the next stage of treatment for the child. Today, while Timur was actively running around the playground, his mother wrote this letter for you:
"Dear Tooba wizards, sweethearted people and our helpers! To all of you, I want to thank you very much for helping my Timur! Today we went for a walk outside, and tears came to my eyes: my boy walks, runs, climbs up hills and stairs, like all healthy children. His feet are straight and no pain!
The surgery for Timur was done in February, everything went well, the plate was removed. When the bandage was removed, I saw with my own eyes that his knee was straight and his leg had lengthened. The scans confirmed that as well. When we came back, the foundation helped us to buy a trainer to work on our leg after the surgery. And Timur recovered very quickly!
Thank you for helping us! When I think that my son had no chance to avoid an amputation without the support of kind people! Would I have been able to pay for such an expensive treatment? But there you are! And my Timur is walking and running today. And we are happy. Thank you!"

Timur needs an operation to save his leg
Timur was a month and a half old when doctors predicted a difficult fate for him: the baby was jerking his legs funny, lying in his mother's arms, and the doctors said that one leg had to be amputated. The baby was born with a rare diagnosis - a false latent shin joint, and there has not yet been a single successful treatment for this pathology in Russia. "The leg wouldn't grow anyway. - The parents were told," the child would not be able to step on it, the bone would break. After an attempt to reattach the bones in the Turner Scientific and Research Center, Timur only suffered several more fractures. The doctors were right. But only the Russian ones.
Rajapov's family quickly found Dr. Paley who had saved more than one child from amputation, and thanks to the help of concerned people Timur went to the famous doctor. The doctor reattached the child's bones in the areas of fractures, put a telescopic pin in the place of the latent joint, and strengthened the guests of the shins, so they would not break again. After the surgery, Timur was able to stand on his feet and walk for the first time in his life.
Timur is a very mobile boy, and before the surgery his forced immobility was very difficult for him. Now he is just happy - as any child should be! But while Timur is growing, he will need to change pins and plates more than once, or they will hurt, not help the child. Right now Timur needs to remove the plate that was put in to align his knee. The deadline by which it can stand is the end of February, later it can bend the knee to the other side at any time.
For surgery for children in Russia and Europe, Dr. Paley specifically flies from the U.S. to Poland - it's easier for the children and cheaper for their parents. Still, the price of the operation is very high. It is not easy for the family to save the child from disability, but they have already started and cannot stop fighting. Let's help Timur continue treatment and keep his leg!
