Baby Eldiyar from Kyrgyzstan is four months old. Right after he was born, his stomach swelled up and he had problems with his stool. From these main signs and after examinations, doctors diagnosed him with Hirschsprung's disease.
This disease is caused by a genetic disorder in which the colon does not form correctly during embryonic development and subsequently fails to perform its function. Fortunately, the disease is completely treatable by surgery.
The first stage of the operation has already been carried out: Eldiyar was given a stoma, an artificial fistula, which discharges the contents of the intestine. The second stage is planned at the Filatov hospital. The best surgeons in the country who specialize in such operations will remove the temporary fistula and remove the nonfunctioning section of the large intestine.
Eldiyar's parents came specially from Kyrgyzstan to cure their son. In this urgent situation, they are asking for help from us: from those in whose hearts lives mercy and compassion. This is the only way they will be able to raise the money needed to operate on Eldiyar.
