Artem is 17 years old, he has cerebral palsy and his whole life he has been struggling with this serious illness.
Artem was born early, 34 weeks old, weighing only 2240 grams, 48 centimeters tall, in Zlatoust, Chelyabinsk region. Hypoxia two hours after birth, five hours on life support, cerebral hemorrhage.
Against this background, the diagnoses were concomitant strabismus, myopia, nystagmus, partial atrophy of the optic nerves.
Artem underwent treatment courses in Moscow, after which there were always results both physically and intellectually. Moscow doctors advised to make surgery to remove strabismus and nystagmus, which prevents the boy to focus on an object. But the operation had to be done in four stages over the course of a year.
The first operation was done in September of last year and the effect was immediate - the angle of strabismus decreased. The second operation was scheduled on February 1, 2022.
The surgery is not free and the money is too much for the family. The cost of travel is also very substantial. That is why the family turned to us for help.
