The 17-year-old Sashka has the smile of Dmitry Nagiyev. He is used to smiling on only one side of his face. The other was paralyzed for ten years. Then doctors corrected it, but the muscle memory remained. Seventeen years ago Sasha was no different from any other baby. And then otitis media began, and his hearing began to decrease as a result. By the age of four he heard absolutely badly. In the hospital, they shot him with antibiotics for otitis, but it only helped for a short time. After a month he would go back to the hospital. As it turned out, saving Sasha's ears is not an easy task. The fact is that a tumor-like mass had been sitting inside his middle ear for years. "We don't even have an eardrum left there. There's nothing left," says Vika, Sasha's mother. Sasha had about 15 surgeries. Surgeons tried to remove the mass and it grew back. They put in an implant to keep Sasha connected to the outside world, but the implant was rejected. Then the teenager had a paralysis of the facial nerve, his eyes stopped closing, and his face twisted. Two doctoral dissertations were written about Sashka's misfortune. He was even invited to the program Elena Malysheva, as a prime example: how can turn otitis. The news that the doctors managed to cope with facial nerve paresis and a dangerous formation was, of course, good, but only half: "unfortunately, we could not save your hearing. Now Sasha's right ear does not hear anything at all, and his left ear is very, very, very bad. Sasha had to get a behind-the-ear hearing aid in order to somehow graduate and go to college for cybersports. But over time, the device failed to cope with its task: Sasha again can't hear anything, in addition, the ear with it gets very wet (and in Sasha's case, this is unacceptable). Doctors recommend to put a PONTO bone conduction device. It consists of two parts: one part is implanted into the skin behind the ear, and the other (processor) is attached outside. The processor was given to the family free of charge and is registered in the IDP. But the implantable part is not registered, we need to find money for it. Without it Sasha will not be able to hear properly and live normally. Sasha was diagnosed too late. His disease was treatable and, if everything had gone well, he could now hear his mother, the noise of the computer processor and the sound of another cybersquatting coming from the speakers. Now it's too late to save Sasha's ears, but it's not too late to help - if not to return his hearing, then to get a new one. Isn't it true?
