Every little patient who returns home after a long and difficult treatment for cancer must comply with the strict sanitary requirements of doctors. After chemotherapy, the child's immune system is almost at zero, and he or she can become seriously ill even from contact with the most common household germs. In such cases, our wards are helped by a recirculator: a lamp for disinfecting indoor air. Thanks to modern technology, the lamp can be used all the time, day and night. Air disinfection lamps, we can say, are very popular equipment with families. About 3 families a month take a recirculator home, using it as a shield against infections, protecting a child who has just come out of the hospital. The demand for recirculators, of course, is high, but unfortunately, there is not enough equipment for everyone. Zhenya, five years old, was just recently diagnosed with lymphatic cancer in October. His son's illness came as a shock to his family: Zhenya was active, athletic and interested in everything, and suddenly he was hospitalized. The boy had to leave his soccer lessons until better times, but his favorite books about animals, dinosaurs and snakes, he took with him to the ward of the pediatric oncology center. Zhenya is determined to cure himself, because he simply has grand plans for the future - to get married and raise two children. So, Zhenya, only forward! And the clever Lisa has been sick with cancer for a year. The girl has a difficult diagnosis - Ewing's sarcoma. But Lisa is not going to be discouraged: even in the walls of the cancer center she finds herself interesting activities - master classes with volunteers, teaching English, toy libraries, holidays - Lisa takes part in everything. In general Lisa is very creative girl - she is engaged in drawing, as well as all dreamers, she really wants to go to St. Petersburg. She also loves rolls and sushi and would like to learn how to cook them so she could prepare them for the holiday dinner. Zhenya and Lisa come home between chemotherapy treatments. And it's a blessing that they have this opportunity. As protection against harmful germs that could easily penetrate a weakened body, they take with them a recirculator that, throughout their stay at home, protects their fragile health. We have many children who use the lamps and take them home to rest from treatment. So we really want each child to be able to go home safely and the family not have to worry about them getting sick. It is important to support families who are facing cancer and provide them with equipment, because we understand that at home the walls do heal, creating for the child a joyful mood of seeing his family and his toys. And it certainly affects the overall health of the child and a harmonious mood in the family: when the child is home - the soul of the family is calm.
