Magomed had an operation on his spine

In his family, Magomed is the favorite - the youngest, bright beyond his years, funny and... vulnerable, in need of care and protection. The baby had a birth trauma and now he is fighting cerebral palsy. He has a great coping team - mom, dad, older brother and sister. But how he would like to be no different from the kids in the yard, and at three years of age not to overcome any difficulties, but just enjoy life. But for now, alas, Magomed cannot walk or run. The good news is that with his form of the disease, Magomed can be helped. Now spasticity prevents him from moving - muscles are constrained and stretched like a tight rubber, they don't let his legs and arms move, and this slows down the rehabilitation. Magomed is indicated for an SDR operation - selective dorsal rhizotomy: surgeons cut nerve roots at the level of the spinal cord, and the muscles relax and become pliable. Of course, Mohammed will not run right away. But after the surgery his muscles will be able to learn to contract in a new way, and then doctors will be able to teach the child's legs to stand on their feet, lift the knees and make steps, i.e. form the skill of walking. It is a difficult and expensive way: the surgery is paid, Mahomed's father is the only one working in the family, Mahomed needs his mother now, and the parents cannot help their son on their own. But this way will open the door to a happy childhood and a full life for Magomed. This chance should not be missed.
