Yasmina Olimzhonova was born in Samarkand 12 weeks ahead of schedule. At birth, the baby weighed 1,300 grams and was 35 cm tall.
After birth, the baby was in the intensive care unit for 2.5 months. And when Yasmina was 3 months old, the ophthalmologist diagnosed her with retinopathy of prematurity degree 5 in both eyes.
This disease is not currently treated in Uzbekistan, but Yasmina was treated by pediatric surgeons in Saint Petersburg. Yasmina underwent several eye surgeries at an early age, but the borders closed during the pandemic prevented her from receiving necessary treatment in time, and she lost her vision.
Now Yasmina's eyes are drying up, but doctors in St. Petersburg can save them as an organ.
Yasmin will be 3,5 years old in the middle of May. She is a cheerful girl, she loves her mother and sister, she loves to play with them and listen to children's songs about animals.
Her mother raises Yasmina and her older sister alone. The family cannot afford to pay for the surgery for their younger daughter.
Let's make happy Yasmina and her family and help them to find enough money for the surgery to save the little girl's eyes.
Амин
