Medni has undergone an intensive rehabilitation course!

Medni was born with a double umbilical cord wrapped around her neck, in hypoxia. On the sixth day after discharge from the hospital, the girl and her mother got into an accident. All these events affected the further fate of the girl. And if up to a year Medni developed with a lag, but she had some words, then at 1.2 years speech development stopped. From the age of 1.5, parents began to notice inadequacy in their daughter's behavior: isolation, lack of reaction to requests and comments, stereotypical movements. Medni was diagnosed with childhood autism. During the rehabilitation, during the classes on applied behavior analysis, cooperation was established with Medni – eye contact, imitation of movements of large and small motor skills. Successfully completed level 1 of the PECS Alternative Communication skill. The girl learned to match up to 12 non-identical objects, sort cards with images by category in a set of 2. Medni began to follow more instructions, repeats and stretches some vowel sounds together with a specialist. Undesirable behavior in the form of aggression and self-aggression was minimized. The understanding of converted speech at the household level has improved. The speech pathologist launched verbs (visually), the girl does not perceive by ear, nouns (by ear) react to several words. A specialist in sensory integration noted reduced proportional sensitivity, dysfunction of the vestibular system, fear of new sensations, lack of communication. During the lessons, Medni began to make contact with the teacher, became more restrained and less afraid. During the classes on adaptive physical culture, the girl learned to keep balance on a gymnastic rack, an exercise bike and roller skates.
