Elvira and Erbol had successful operations to correct strabismus!

We have already told you the story of a brother and sister, Erbol and Elvira. Erbol Borukulov was born in Moscow on January 29, 2008, 12 weeks early and weighed 1850 grams. From the first year of life the baby was under supervision of neurologist and ophthalmologist. After retinopathy of prematurity the vision of Erbol decreased to -12 units. In addition to myopia, Erbol was diagnosed with strabismus and nystagmus - involuntary eye movement. Now Erbol is 12 years old, he is finishing the 8th grade in the public school for the visually impaired and he studies with great pleasure and with only A's. Erbol is a very cheerful boy who loves his family. Erbol also has a little sister Elvira, now 4 years old, and she was also born 9 weeks prematurely. She weighed 1840 grams at birth. The baby girl has a disability due to cerebral palsy and epilepsy, as well as low vision and strabismus. She is growing up to be a kind girl, loves to laugh and play with her family. Doctors say it is possible to correct strabismus and nystagmus in children - surgery must be performed in several stages. The first stage of surgery was successful for both children. We were able to raise money for it thanks to you and your kind hearts. Soon Erbol and Elvira will have the second stage of operations, but the family does not have money to pay for that.
