9-year-old Roma has epilepsy, cerebral palsy, delayed speech development. Thanks to the constant passage of rehabilitation courses, the boy began to understand the spoken language, improved his motor skills and went to school.
During this course, a sensory integration specialist and a speech pathologist worked with Roman to improve the boy's academic, physical and communication skills.
A specialist in sensory integration revealed Roma's lack of coordination, muscle sensitivity, and was working on motor planning, increasing sensitivity and improving the boy's motor functions. Thanks to a specially selected set of exercises, Roma's coordination, large and small motor skills improved, he learned to hold objects correctly and firmly.
Roma also took a course of logotaping, thanks to which his articulation improved and the sensitivity of the speech apparatus increased, the boy learned to pronounce sounds that he had not had before.
After intensive classes with a defectologist, Roma learned to compare identical pictures, collect puzzles, sort objects by shapes and colors, mastered the concepts of "big"-"small", he was introduced to the 1st stage of graphomotor skills training.
