Every day, new animals get into our fund. Some of them, after the necessary vaccinations, are immediately ready to look for a home. But this scenario is quite rare. Someone needs treatment, someone needs socialization, someone needs both at the same time.
Twinky came to us with her sister at a fairly young age through a trapping program. Like many cats, they had rhinotracheitis. With this disease, some damage the eyes and respiratory tract, which often leads to the death of animals. Twinky had a blockage of the lacrimal canal, but the doctors noticed in time, managed to clear the canal and carry out the necessary procedures. All these procedures were difficult for the baby, because she is a young, very mobile and sociable cat! But everything worked out, and it seemed that Twinky was even grateful to the doctors!
With our ward Neo, the story is even sadder. The little girl had a car accident. At the clinic, she was x-rayed and it turned out that she had a comminuted fracture of the 6th lumbar vertebra and a displacement of the 7th. A blood test revealed an acute inflammatory process, and antibiotic therapy and daily painkillers were prescribed. After the MRI, it became clear that stabilization of the spine was needed, which would reduce pain. There is a long and difficult road ahead, but we must not give up! And if you and I can make her life a little easier, it will already be a big victory.
Together, let's help Twinky, Neo, and other wards get their treatment faster and find their home!
