Elia Yasin was born 3 months prematurely. She has Spina Bifida disease and has to constantly undergo surgery and develop her legs. Elia endures rehabilitation for 4.5 hours at a time. She has to do strength exercises, which can be painful, sometimes to the point of tears. She is making a lot of progress, but she cannot walk without assistance, that's why she needs an active wheelchair. The girl has already had 10 operations. Sometimes she is in the hospital for months. Now she is 8 years old. Elia didn't go to kindergarten, but passed the first grade program on her own. She can count, write, and even read English. But the girl really lacks communication. Children on the playground don't pay attention to her, because she can't run and play with them. An active stroller can change that! On September 1, Elia is going to school and is really looking forward to this day. In order to study comfortably together with her classmates - to go to the blackboard, play during the breaks, go to the canteen - she needs a suitable stroller. Of course, she won't be able to get it in time for the formal lineup. But the more active your participation is, the sooner it will happen, and it will be easier for Elia to socialize and find common ground with her peers!
