Maxim is going to school this year. The cheerful and inquisitive boy is looking forward to this event, because he will have a whole class of new friends. Maxim is incredibly sociable, friendly, easily makes new acquaintances, and he is always fun and interesting to be with. But if Maksim doesn't have an active wheelchair, unfortunately, he won't have any new friends either. The teacher will come to his house. And all the guys will stay there - at school. The thing is that Maksim has spina bifida. It is a severe malformation of the spinal cord, it occurs in utero, the causes of which are unknown. The arches of the spine do not completely fuse, and the spinal cord "falls out" of them, forming a hernia. Surgery to suture the hernia is required in the first hours of life. Everything below the hernia, unfortunately, a person cannot feel. That is why Maksim cannot walk. But if he will be on a specially selected for him active wheelchair with his hands to spin big wheels, he will be able to go to school on a par with the other guys from his class. The family has already begun, together with a lawyer from the foundation, to make changes to the IPRA to get a good wheelchair. But the process of getting a wheelchair under IPRA will take a year, and the boy has to go to school now! The family cannot afford to buy an expensive technical device on their own. The charity fund "Spina Bifida" decided to open a collection for a wheelchair for Maksim. Let's help cheerful and curious Maksim become active and mobile!
