Thanks to your help, Abdullah received intensive care!

Abdullah is an only child in the family. In addition to his main diagnosis, Spina Bifida, the baby has many comorbidities. On the fifth day after birth, the boy had his first operation to remove a hernia. A week later the second surgery was performed to remove the drainage. A month later another operation was performed to insert a shunt. At one and a half years of age the boy cannot sit, cannot crawl, is developmentally delayed, and is on expensive medication. With a diagnosis like Abdullah's it is important to start rehabilitation as early as possible. Intensive physical exercise and physiotherapy can help to prevent contractures and shortening of the limbs in some cases. Thanks to your help Abdullah underwent a rehabilitation course, in which the child was treated by orthopaedist, specialist of Vota therapy and therapeutic physical training. After the course his back and neck muscles have strengthened. And now Abdullah can sit up on his own, even for a short time. His general condition has improved, and he is sleeping well.
