Samat was pre-term baby with low birth weight of 1 kg and he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In September 2020, the Charity foundation “Doroga zhizni” brought him to Moscow for treatment. He was operated several times and had many courses of rehabilitation. After the treatment he was able to stand on his own legs and to walk a few steps. After he went back to his orphanage. Thanks to your support, Samat came in August 2022 to Moscow for rehabilitation- he needed again the medical help to keep his walking skills. He was treated during 3 weeks with physiotherapy, mechanotherapy and underwent procedures aimed to reduce spasticity. Samat was discharged with a slight improvement - his muscle hypertonicity decreased and range of motion in the joints of the extremities slightly increased. After rehabilitation he stayed in the Social center. A teacher and a speech therapist worked with Samat and he was constantly observed by a neurologist. The patronage nanny was taking care of Samat during his rehabilitation period. Thanks so much for your support!
