Help for newborns: equipment for diagnosing and treating jaundice has been donated

More than 5,000 babies are born every year at the Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology in Almaty. Women from all over the country come here, many of them with serious diagnoses. Newborn jaundice is one of the most common conditions in infants. It affects up to 60% of full-term and 80% of premature babies. Without timely treatment, it can lead to serious brain damage. The AYALA Foundation and the TOOBA charity platform donated the necessary equipment to the Center - a bilirubinometer, which quickly and painlessly helps to identify the disease, and a phototherapeutic lamp, which can effectively treat jaundice - without medications and stress for the baby. The "Breathe Life" project is a contribution to the intellectual and healthy future of Kazakhstan. Thank you to everyone who became part of this good story.
