The Vera Foundation has been helping the Samara Hospice for a long time. Doctors and nurses of the hospice field service support hundreds of patients at home and in the hospital. Sometimes it becomes a second home for those who can no longer be cured and who have no loved ones at all - there they are cared for 24 hours a day. Doctors - anesthetize, nurses - take care: feeding, washing, changing clothes lying sick; drivers - take employees to patients' homes. All this makes a small team in which each patient is treated with dignity - no matter how many days he has left to live. But unfortunately, doctors, nurses, accountants and drivers work at the hospice almost around the clock and almost for free. The salary of Olga Vasilievna Osetrova, head doctor of the hospice, is 13,630 rubles. The nurses, the psychologist and the driver get even less. Now it is very important for us to support them, to keep their salaries, so that they have the desire and strength to continue their work. For the entire hospice team we need 250 083 thousand rubles per month. We are sure that if the hospice has no money at all, the small hospice team will still work day and night. But we really want to make the staff feel that someone wants to and can help them too.
