Thanks to you, the allergic dog Pashka received special food and Apoquel!

Pashka came to the shelter under the trapping program 3 years ago. The dog was completely bald. In addition, he turned out to be a "wild", so it was difficult for the employees to understand what was wrong with the dog and how to treat him - he was not given to the hands. All they could do then was to give a drug for ticks with food. This helped - Pashka was a little overgrown with hair, but he was far from complete recovery, since the staff did not understand the cause of his skin disease. In addition, Pashka was no longer young, which means he needed special care. One of our volunteers took Pashka under guardianship. And it turned out that this is an affectionate, kind, most likely domestic dog! As soon as the guy trusted, we took him to a dermatologist, who did not confirm our assumptions about diseases and said that Pashka most likely had an allergy. And we had only one option - by trial and error to find food that would not cause allergies, so that the dog would stop itching and grow new hair. We found this food! As soon as Pashka began to eat it, it blossomed and began to grow rather quickly. Although sometimes, due to habit, it still itches more than necessary, and the antipruritic drug Apoquel helps us in this problem. We are very glad that we were able to understand how to help the already middle-aged Pashka. But the fact is that these food and medicine are expensive.
