Children diagnosed with spina bifida received quality help from the foundation's specialists!

Every time Abdullah looks forward to a home visit from Anna, a physical therapist from the Spina Bifida Foundation. After all, the boy's physical condition depends on these meetings. Thanks to them Abdullah can stand properly in an upright position, and this is important for children with spina bifida. Physical therapists and occupational therapists of the foundation, are very important specialists for children with spina bifida. They examine the child and select the medical equipment which suits him, assess the environment in the apartment and arrange an accessible environment, talk to the parents and give them individual recommendations. With the efforts of just one specialist, we were able to put many children in the North Caucasus on their feet in standing erectors. In addition to consultations and home visits to families, specialists do methodological work: they write recommendations for educational institutions which children attend, make individual lesson plans for their charges, write reports on the results of lessons with children and much more. Such work must also be paid for.
