Zuhra, one of the twins, was born at 28 weeks of pregnancy, weighing 1,200 grams and only 35 centimeters tall. The baby's condition at birth was serious; she spent the first 22 days of her life in intensive care (including on artificial ventilation), then she was transferred to the nursing department for pathology of newborns.
Two months after birth, Zuhra was diagnosed with retinopathy of prematurity degree 5 in both eyes, which can lead to total loss of vision.
In November 2021 Zuhra underwent the first stage of eye surgery in St. Petersburg, after the treatment there is a result, but she needs a second surgery to restore her vision.
Zuhra grows up in a big family of 8, she has a sister and an older brother with whom she loves to play. The girl is growing up very cheerful and friendly, she loves to talk and make contact with people. The girl's mother is a housewife and is fully devoted to taking care of the disabled child, and her father works in the regional communal service, and her retired parents live with them, so they had to apply to us for help.
Let's help Zuhra have her second surgery so that she won't stop there and will be able to keep her eyesight!
