Styopa was born prematurely with an internal fracture of the femur, clubfoot and multiple malformations. For almost 4 years of his life, Styopa underwent 6 operations, 4 of them were the most difficult. There are 4 more ahead. Everything is complicated by other diagnoses. Due to an autistic disorder, Styopa does not fully understand simple words, cannot speak normally, and his clubfoot prevents him from moving around. But Stepan is working hard. Last year he learned to make eye contact and respond to a name. Before, he had to be strapped into a wheelchair, but now he is able to sit at a table. He also started walking on supportive elbow canes! In the fall, Stepa's two heart defects closed. The doctor gave him a standing ovation! The doctors even doubted that Steppa would sit. But Stepan is on his way to his dream - to learn to talk and walk. His mom believes that at 7, he will be able to go to school on his own, instead of sitting at home in a wheelchair. But for this, he now needs help: rehabilitation will help Styopa strengthen his legs, and a light, maneuverable wheelchair with fixation will help him get to the procedures faster.
