September 1, 2021 was one of the happiest days in Ruslan's life - he went back to school. Before that, the boy had been home schooled for four years and could not see his friends every day. Ruslan has an imperfect osteogenesis, a rare congenital disease in which the bones are very brittle and can break at any time.
At the age of nine, the first serious injury happened in Ruslan's life, which literally locked him up at home. There was a fracture of the femur with a dislocation. After several unsuccessful attempts at treatment, with the support of the Fragile People Foundation, Ruslan was fitted with a modern pin, which "grew" together with the bone for several years. Thanks to this operation, the boy is on his feet again and is finally able to go to regular school and see his friends every day. Now Ruslan is in the 9th grade, but unfortunately, he is homeschooled again. He grew, the pin in his leg extended all the way and now causes a lot of inconvenience.
Ruslan says that his main dream is very simple - to go to college, learn to be a web designer, meet friends and enjoy life. To do that he needs to get back on his feet, which will only be possible after the pin in his hip is replaced with a new one. Ruslan really needs this surgery, but it is very expensive and the boy's family cannot afford to pay for it by themselves.
Please support Ruslan, help him to get on his feet and help him to reach his dream!
