Rayana was born 12 weeks premature and spent the first months of her life in a hospital in a cuvette for premature babies. Such children face many diseases, but above all the high risk of retinal detachment and complete loss of vision. This is what happened to little Rayana. At 7 months, the baby was diagnosed with the same disease - retinopathy of prematurity. This means that Rayana could lose her vision completely and forever. In her homeland, Kyrgyzstan, they do not yet treat such children, and Rayana was going to be totally blind. The girl can get help in Russia. But for Rayana, like all CIS citizens, she would have to pay to undergo an operation to save her eyesight. So the little girl's family is forced to ask for help. Rayana and her sister are being brought up by one mother, who has no job. The operation is to be performed in the nearest future, as the irreversible changes in the retina are about to begin.
