Askhab was born prematurely. In early childhood, doctors diagnosed the boy with retinopathy of prematurity and gave him an injection of a drug that stopped the retinal detachment. Askhab later underwent a surgical operation, thanks to which his vision was preserved.
Now Askhab wears glasses constantly, but one eye is enlarged, the other is reduced, and ophthalmologists recommended the boy's parents to introduce contact lenses. But so far that cannot be done due to strabismus and nystagmus (involuntary frequent eye movements). It prevents him from seeing clearly and spatial orientation because his brain receives distorted signals.
Askhab needs to undergo a series of operations to correct strabismus with Botox, which will relax the eye muscles and help his eyes to stand upright. Ashab underwent the first operation with your help in 2022, now it's time for the second stage. There are five children in the family and the parents need our help.
By donating to the surgery for Askhab, you are helping the boy to start seeing clearly and developing well with his peers.
