Thanks to your support the orphans in the village in Smolensk region got the medical care!

There are 52 orphans age 6 to 17 y.o. , who live in the Shatalovsky orphnage in Smolensk region. The orphanage is located in the village, where there is only a small outpatient clinic which provides dental care and a common therapy services. Other medical specialists are 50 km far away from the village in the administrative center, city Smolensk. The remoteness of medical care is the main reason why the medical team of the fund "Doroga zhizni" is being expected a lot in the orphanage in Shatalovo. Since almost 7 years our medical team, which includes a pediatrician, an ophthalmologist, an otolaryngologist, a surgeon, a psychiatrist, a clinical psychologist, an ultrasonographer and others has been going to orphanages in the most isolated places in Russia and examining orphan kids. Those kids, who need the urgent medical help or operation, are being taken to Moscow for treatment. The fund "Doroga zhizni" has been supervising the orphanage in Shatalovo for already two years. The medical team of the fund visits the kids here once in two months. During this visit there is also a pediatric gynecologist, who will join the medical team. She will examine girls, make ultrasound scans and tell them about hygiene. Help the doctors to come to the Shatalovsky orphanage because the kids there need a lot a medical care!
