Umar was born prematurely and has already undergone more than 11 surgeries in one year of his life. It is important to emphasize that these interventions could not be performed in Umar's home country and his parents had to seek help in Russia, where surgeries are paid for. Joy came into the lives of Umar and his parents when they received Russian passports, which gave them access to free medical care. However, the insurance policy did not cover the full cost of Umar's treatment, including the necessary eye surgery.
