We are writing to you today with a heavy heart to share the sad news about the child for whom we raised funds together. Katya Kapustyan has passed away. Unfortunately, complications incompatible with life arose during a very complicated surgery. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your donation and for the opportunity to try to help Katya. Katya was operated on by a very experienced team of surgeons, but the danger of her disease was that an abnormal tangle of blood vessels had grown into a huge tumor on the right side of her face. Unfortunately, in Katya's case, neither medication nor the surgery she had undergone two years ago helped. The girl had a tracheostomy and was in constant pain. Therefore, several teams of surgeons developed a new surgical tactic, resecting the lower jaw damaged by the tumor and replacing it with an implant. You helped raise money for the implant, but, unfortunately, Katya's body could not withstand the many years of struggle with the disease. Our fund not only follows the fate of each ward, but also stands for absolute transparency of each collection.
